18469.000 Box Hangar Construction #15696

The City of Columbus is requesting sealed bids for Box Hangar Construction. All bids will be received by the City of Columbus at the Columbus-Lowndes County Airport (368 Fabritek Drive, Columbus, MS 39702) until 10:00 AM Local Time on May 23, 2024, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after the specified time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened.

The work is generally described as follows: Base Bid - Box Hangar Construction (70’ x 120’) with foundation along with construction of concrete and asphalt Apron. Additive Alternate No. 1 – Construct Expanded Box Hangar (80’ x 120’). Additive Alternate No. 2 – Construct Restroom inside the Box Hangar. The contract time for the Bid is 200 calendar days. Liquidated damages in the amount of $500.00 will be assessed for each consecutive calendar day thereafter.

A pre-bid meeting is planned for this project on May 16, 2024, at 10:00 AM. at the Columbus-Lowndes County Airport. It is strongly recommended that prospective bidders attend the pre-bid conference and perform a site visit. Site visits will be scheduled individually to limit large crowds.
