ENGINEER'S ESTIMATE: $500,000 -$600,000

Sealed bids will be received by the Town Clerk’s office of Town of Goodman, Mississippi at 9912 Main Street, until 2:00 p.m. on the 17th day of May 2024 and shortly thereafter publicly opened for the 6100 linear feet water main improvement along Shady Grove Road in Goodman, MS is known as Proposed Town of Goodman Water System Improvement Project, MCWI Project #592-2-DW-5.15 in the Town of Goodman, Mississippi.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS:
CONTRACT TIME: 120 Calendar Days

BASIS OF AWARD

The award, if made, shall be within approximately thirty (30) days of the date of receipt of Bids. The award shall be based on the lowest and best bid. The winning bid will be at the Town of Goodman discretion. The selected winning bid will be based on the following combined weighted factors: (a) basis of bid offering for the published quantities, (b) bidders’ technical qualifications, and (c) professional reputation. The Town of Goodman reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

The Town of Goodman hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprise will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.

PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS are on file in the Office of the Town Clerk of Town of Goodman, 9912 Main St, Goodman, MS 39079. All items shall be constructed in accordance with the latest edition of the Mississippi State Department of Health Minimum Design Criteria.

PLANS AND PROPOSALS One copy of the contract documents and plans may be procured from the Cornerstone Planroom at https://www.cornerstoneengllcplanroom.com/ The cost for plans and specifications is non-refundable. A certified check or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the total bid, made payable to the Town of Goodman must accompany each proposal.

Bids must be hand-delivered or otherwise physically delivered by public or private couriers or delivery services, including but not limited to U. S. Postal Service, Certified Mail with return receipt requested, United Parcel Service, Federal Express, or by any other delivery method wherein receipt of said bids much be acknowledged, in writing, by the addressee to the Town of Goodman Town Clerk, Attention: Jamie Hart Winstead , 9912 Main St, Goodman, MS 39079.

Bidders are hereby notified that any proposal accompanied by letters qualifying in any manner the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be considered an irregular bid and such proposal will not be considered in making the award.
