Sealed bids will be received by the City of McComb (Owner) until 10:00 a.m. on June 5, 2023, in the Office of the

City Clerk, City Hall, 115 3rd Street, McComb, Mississippi 39648 for the project titled MDWFP 22-RTP-364

Edgewood Park Trail. Bids shall be addressed to the attention of the City Clerk.

The work generally consists of constructing a 1,324-foot long asphalt walking trail in Edgewood Park in McComb,

MS. Specific locations and improvements are shown in the Contract Drawings.

The above general summary of features of the work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor

to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment, and materials required by the specifications and the

drawings referred to therein.

Contract time shall be ______90___________calendar days from the effective date shown in the Notice to

Proceed. Liquidated damages will be assessed at a rate of ______$200.00____________per day for each

consecutive calendar day the work has not achieved Substantial Completion.

Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi State Law and show Certificate of Responsibility issued by the

Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors.

The Owner reserves the right to waive any formalities or to reject any and all bids. Bids will be awarded on Total

Bid Price and the Bidder’s ability to perform the work as specified within the completion dates stated above.

A 5% bid bond will be required on this project. The successful bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond and a

Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the bid.

Attorneys-in-fact who sign Payment Bonds must file with each bond a certified and effective dated copy of their

power of attorney.

Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate, sealed, and deposited at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 115 3rd

Street, McComb, Mississippi 39648 prior to the hour and date above designated. No bidder may withdraw his bid

within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.

Awarding public contracts to non-resident Bidders will be on the same basis as the non-resident Bidder's state

awards Contractors to Mississippi Contractors bidding under similar circumstances. In order to ensure that

Mississippi's so called "Golden Rule" is followed, state law requires a non-resident Bidder to attach to his bid a

copy of his resident state's current laws pertaining to such state's treatment of non-resident Contractors. The City of

Bid documents are being made available via paper or digital copy. Plan holders are required to log-in or register for

a valid email address for registration. Bid documents are non-refundable and must be purchased through the website.
