Sealed, written formal bid proposals will be received by HINDS COUNTY HUMAN RESOURCE AGENCY, at 258 Maddox Road, Jackson, MS 39212 at 10:00 a.m. (Local Prevailing Time) on April 11, 2023, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud, for the Parent Lounge Renovations: Hinds County Human Resource Agency:

Oak Forest Head Start Center at 3023 Ridgeland Dr., Jackson, MS 39212
Mid-Town Head Start Center at 134 E. Fortification Street, Jackson, MS 39202

The Hinds County Human Resource Agency reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities, also to withhold the acceptance of any bid if approved, for forty-five calendar days from the date bids are opened.

All Contractors who intend to submit “BIDS” are encouraged to attend the NON-MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE starting at the South Jackson Head Start Center at 3020 Grey Blvd., Jackson, MS 39212 on THURSDAY, MARCH 30, 2023 at 3:00PM. Failure to attend the Pre-Bid Conference will not result in rejection of submitted proposals.

All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates, and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check or a Bid Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Mississippi. The successful bidder will be allowed 60 calendar days from the date of issuance of Notice to Proceed to complete the project. Liquidated damages will be assessed at $500.00 per day for each calendar day the work is not substantially complete.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and a Payment Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Mississippi, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount.
