ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for the construction of the CONTRACT A – SURFACE WATER SUPPLY & DISTRIBUTION IMPROVEMENTS will be received by CASON WATER DISTRICT, at the office of the CASON WATER DISTRICT, 30007 CASON ROAD, NETTLETON, MS 38858, until 10:00 A.M. local time on THURSDAY, JANUARY 16th, 2020, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The Project consists of constructing a water pumping station, 100,000 gallon steel ground storage tank and foundations, altitude valve arrangement, yard piping, site work, electrical work, control system work, approximately 82,500 linear feet of 12” water pipe lines, 9,830 linear feet of 10” water pipe lines, 4,950 linear feet of 8” water pipe lines, 170 linear feet of 6” water pipe lines, automatic and manual air
release valve arrangements, hydrants, valves and fittings, bored steel encasements, directional bores, resurfacing, erosion control, maintenance of traffic, and USDA project sign, and any additional appurtenant items of work.
Individual items will not be awarded separately.
Bidding Documents may be examined at the office of the Owner or the Engineer during normal business hours Mondays through Fridays, except holidays.

Contract Documents are issued to potential Bidders as paper copies from Plan House Printing and
Graphics, 607 West Main Street, Tupelo, MS 38804. The non‐refundable cost of the Bid Documents is $250.00. Bidders may opt to purchase Contract Documents online at www.cceplanroom.com. All payments for Bid Documents shall be made payable to Plan House Printing and Graphics, 607 West Main Street, Tupelo, MS 38804.
Bids will be accepted only under the name of the Bidder to whom contract documents have been issued by Plan House Printing, on behalf of the Engineer, and whose name appears on the official list of Planholders maintained by Plan House Printing.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A – Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All listed iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term “iron and steel products” means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and construction materials. The deminimis and minor components waiver apply to this project.
