Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals for Food Provision, Preparation and Catering Services for meals for the Inmates at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center and the Juveniles at the Jackson County Youth Court will be received by the Board of Supervisors of Jackson County, Mississippi until 12:00 PM on January 25, 2023, and opened publicly at 1:00 PM in the Jackson County Board Room located at 2915 Canty Street, Pascagoula, MS 39567.

Proposals may be submitted by sealed envelope or electronic submittal. Sealed envelope proposals should be addressed to Josh Eldredge, Clerk of the Board, 2915 Canty Street, Suite R, Pascagoula, Mississippi 39567. Delivery of Proposal – One (1) original, two (2) copies, and one (1) digital electronic copy in PDF format shall be submitted in a sealed envelope, addressed to “The Clerk of the Board of Jackson County,” and clearly designated as proposals for the following item described, to wit:

INMATE FOOD SERVICE FOR THE JACKSON COUTNY ADULT DENTNTION CENTER AND THE JACKSON COUNTY JUVENILE DETENTION CENTER (YOUTH COURT)

1. Proposals received after the stated time will not be considered.
2. The Board of Supervisors of Jackson County, Mississippi reserves the right to waive any informality and to reject any and all proposals.

When submitting an elecfronic proposal, the proposal must be submitted in “pdf” format and shall contain the same information and forms as required for the paper proposals. When submitting a proposal electronically, the authorized signature shall be an electronic signature or handwritten in blue­ ink signature. In the event that an electronically submitted proposal has a corrupted attachment, the proposal will be considered null and void. When proposals are submitted electronically, the requirement for including a certificate of responsibility, or a statement that eh proposal enclosed does not exceed fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00), on the exterior of the proposal envelope shall be deemed in compliance by including the same information as an attachment with the electronic proposal. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, or cashier’s check for an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total base proposal.

No proposal may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for a period of Sixty (60) days. The Jackson County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all proposals on any or all projects and to waive informalities.
