This Project is for the Aberdeen Electric Department Relocation & Renovations at 609 N. Meridian St., Aberdeen, Mississippi. The work will consist of an existing single-story plan of approximately 10,000 square feet (4950 SF Office renovation. 5100 SF Warehouse).

Work Included: Minor demolition, new wood framed interior partition walls, new wood doors, Storefront windows, insulation, cabinetry, new ceilings, epoxy and carpet flooring, new plumbing, new mechanical and HVAC, new lighting and electrical, sidewalks repair, drive thru addition, exterior painting, new signage. The entire facility shall be ADA Compliant, etc. Contractor will need to coordinate with the Civil package (separate bid) for all site related construction.

PREBID CONFERENCE
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the site to provide onsite inspection and review of the intended work program. (This will be by Addendum No. 1)

RECEIPT AND OPENING OF BID
Sealed bids for the Electric Department will be received at the Office of the City Clerk, City
Hall 1st Floor, 125 W. Commerce Street, Aberdeen, Mississippi, 39730, until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at which time the Bids will be publicly opened and read

BID ENVELOPE
Bid envelope must contain on the outside of the envelope, the Contractor’s current Certificate of Responsibility Number and the Contractor’s License Number. Envelope containing bids must be sealed, marked and addressed as follows: Relocation & Renovations for: Aberdeen Electric Department

Plans and specifications are being made available via original paper copy and electronically. Plan Holders are required to register and order bid documents at www.cityofaberdeenmsbids.com. Questions regarding website registration and online
orders please contact Plan House at 662-407-0193. Bid documents are non-refundable and must be purchased through the website. Proposals shall be submitted on the Bid Form provided with the specifications. Bids may be submitted in person or, for those interested, bids can be electronically submitted at www.cityofaberdeenmsbids.com
Relocation & Renovations for: Aberdeen Electric Department Aberdeen, Mississippi under the project name. No oral, telegraphic, telephonic, or e-mail proposals will be considered.

BID BASIS
Bid will be on a lump sum basis and will NOT include site work, all general construction and related work as shown or noted on Plans and found in the Specifications. Award will be made to the lowest and best bidder and the Mayor and Board of Aldermen reserve the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any and all informalities.

CONSTRUCTION TIME
The total Contract Time shall not exceed 180 consecutive calendar days.
